Who is Opposite Wall?

Opposite Wall is a Montreal-based online interior design and home decor boutique that offers a unique selection of wall art prints and posters. We want to make home decor easy, exciting and affordable for you.

You can choose amongst a wide selection of minimalist art prints and posters, including our own creations and beautiful curated designs from artists around the world, that we print locally on sustainable and durable premium materials in sizes that can easily be framed.

With our simplistically stylish and minimalistic approach, our art prints and posters mesh well with any type of modern home decor, and adds a finishing touch to the look of every space.

What is the difference between a poster, a print, and an art print?

None. Wall art prints and posters are the same.

We offer a wide selection of exclusive art prints and posters, as well as a beautiful curated collection from emergent and established artists. They are printed on a high-quality premium thick, matte paper, easy for you to frame, hang up, pin up... whatever works for you and your home.

Where do you find the inspiration behind the designs?

We are inspired by minimalist lifestyle and design trends from all over the world. Most of our designs are created locally with our talented team, and we curate others with the most talented contributors around the world.

Where are your products made?

Our prints are made in Montreal, Canada. We manufacture ourselves to control every step of the process, from design ideas to production.

Because keeping our planet healthy and our forests growing is important to us, our recycled FSC paper is sustainably sourced by a mill in Quebec that uses advanced green bio-gas technology.

What materials do you use?

We thrive for quality and durability. Our acid-free, archival quality paper is a premium, crisp uncoated 200 gsm paper with a matte look and a smooth finish. We use advanced printing technology for vibrant and crisp images. Where can I find inspiration for my wall art gallery?

Will my poster look exactly as it does online?

It might look slightly different as it does on your computer screen and that is because every computer and screen can be calibrated differently. Rest assured! We use advanced digital printing technology to produce our prints, so we can deliver high definition, vibrant images with a crisp modern look.

We are proud to offer our poster styles in various sizes. Each size has a different width/height proportion, and since we aim to preserve the look and feel of a design, please note that a style may differ slightly from one size to another.

Where can I purchase a frame?

Check out our exclusive, design collection of solid black oak frames, available in four sizes. For smaller picture frames, we recommend IKEA frames, as they are simple, easy to mix and match and are quite reasonably priced. Both our frame collection and IKEA frames fit our poster sizes. 

What is the best way to contact you?

How do I know that my order is being processed?

Right after you've placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email.

How fast are orders processed?

Right after you've placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email.
All in-stock orders are processed within 1-2 business days. You’ll get another email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. 
Everything you see on the store should be in stock. If that’s not the case, come back in a few days.

What are my payment options? 

We accept payments by VISA, Mastercard and American Express credit cards, as well as PayPal. Prices are listed in US or Canadian dollars.

Where do you ship?

We ship to Canada and the Unites States. We also ship internationally – pretty much anywhere on the planet. Note that we also ship to P.O. boxes outside of Canada and the U.S.

When can I expect my order? 

Right after you've placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email. All in-stock orders are processed within 1-2 business days. 
When we’ve packaged your order and it leaves our warehouse, we notify you by email and give you the tracking number.
For order in Canada and US, shipping then takes approximately 3-7 business days, while Expedited shipping takes 2-4 business days.
Please add 2-3 business days for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. We do ship to United States Army Post Offices (APO), FPO, DPO but it may take 2-4 weeks. 

Shipping time cannot be guaranteed at peak periods.

International

Shipping delays for International Orders can vary from country to country. International orders usually ship by air and take up 6-10 business days to arrive.

Please note that once your order is processed, we cannot change or cancel your order, nor reroute it to a new address. Should you have any other questions, read our FAQ or contact us at info@oppositewall.com.

What if I need to change or cancel my order?

We do process orders quickly, but we’ll do our best to accommodate changes to your order. Though we cannot guarantee it, the best way to change or cancel an order is to write to us immediately at info@oppositewall.com.

Are price adjustments offered?

No, we do not offer price adjustments.

 

SHIPPING

What are your shipping methods and how long do they take?

Right after you've placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email.
All in-stock orders are processed within 1-2 business days. We carefully hand-package your art prints in protective paper and a resistant shipping tube.
When we’ve packaged your order and it leaves our warehouse, we notify you by email and give you the tracking number, so you can follow its journey to your door. Please note that once your order is processed, we cannot change or cancel your order, nor reroute it to a new address.
Standard Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post, Canpar or Purolator and take up to 3-7 days to arrive.
Expedited Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post, Canpar and/or Purolator and take up to 2 days to arrive.
American continental U.S. orders takes 3-7 business days, while shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and other territories may take 2-3 business days more.  Shipping time cannot be guaranteed at peak periods.

American Expedited orders are shipped via Canada Post and/or Purolator and take 2-4 business days. We cannot guarantee expedited shipping to P.O. boxes or rural postal codes and zip codes, so please select standard shipping. 

International

Delays for International Orders can vary from country to country. International orders are shipped via Purolator and can take 6-10 business days to arrive. 
Please note that if your order is refused at customs, you will still be responsible for charges incurred in shipping the package. If your order is returned to us because you did not collect it at the carrier’s office or at the post office, the package will be returned to us and you will be charged a shipping and handling fee of $25 USD.

For orders to Canada and the United States, we charge a flat rate of 9$, but orders over $50 receive free standard shipping.

International

Shipping an international order is $25 USD. Note that you will be responsible for all duties and taxes charged to you at delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply estimated duties, taxes and custom charges as this information will vary by country.
Please note that if your order is refused at customs, you will still be responsible for charges incurred in shipping the package. If your order is returned to us because you did not collect it at the carrier’s office or at the post office, the package will be returned to us and you will be charged a shipping and handling fee of $25 USD. 

 

RETURNS

What is your return policy?

We want you to be happy with your wall art and the home decor vibe it generates. If that’s not the case, you may return it.
We ask that you follow a few rules when returning an item:
  • Return your item within 30 days (from the delivery date)
  • Return new items only (unused, undamaged items, and in the same condition that you received it)
  • Return items in the original packaging
  • Some items can’t be returned. For example, items on final sale are not eligible for returns.

Refunds are given in the original payment form. Note that we offer free returns in Canada and the U.S, but that we deduct a $7 handling fee.

How can I exchange an item?

At this time, we don’t have a direct exchange process in place. If you feel you need to swap the item for another, simply request a return on the item you wish to change to get a full refund (minus handling fees of $7), and place a new order. Read more about returns.

How do I make a return?

If you’re not satisfied with the look and feel of your art print, you can return it to us and we will refund you on your original method of payment up to 30 days from the delivery date. We return unused and undamaged items only (in the same condition that you received it).  
It’s simple. We ask that you send us the following information by email at info@oppositewall.comFinal sale items cannot be returned.

  • Order number 
  • Receipt or proof of purchase 
  • Your name 
  • Your e-mail address (the one registered on the purchase) 
  • The item number you want to return 
  • The reason why you want to return it (we appreciate your feedback) 

You’ll then get a return authorization number and we’ll work to help you process your return as quickly as possible.
Note that we offer free returns in Canada and the U.S, but that we deduct a $7 handling fee.
Refunds are given in the original payment form. Please allow 3 to 5 days once the return package has been delivered to our warehouse. When your return is processed, you will receive a confirmation email.

I think my poster is damaged, defective or incorrect. What should I do?

If you think you have received a damaged, defective or incorrect item, please contact us at info@oppositewall.com.
We kindly ask that you send us a photo of the damage, or the wrong item you received, as well as your order number, receipt copy, name and email address used on the order. No worries, we’ll take good care of you.
